From 25% Suriname Coral Albino X 25% Suriname Het Albino

This litter of Groovy-line coral albinos included some of the nicest individuals we have ever produced.  They have been grown slowly with great care, and are on the small side for their age.  The males will likely achieve breeding size next Fall as they hit 2½ years of age; the females are more likely to be breeders in Fall 2009 at 3½ years old.  All are aggressive feeders and take f/t adult mice from tongs weekly.

We will be holding onto most of the albinos from this litter until next spring so we can better assess the degree of coraling in each of them, and hope to gain further insight into the coral trait.  Meanwhile, we have made the boas shown below available for sale now.  These are still small enough that even those that currently show little or no evidence of coraling could turn out to be late bloomers, or just low-expression corals - there is definitely potential to get lucky on these!

060524f05.  Female.  Albino, possible Coral (Groovy-line).  One of the largest of the bunch, she shows some coral tendencies and has the look of the low-expression models we get from this line.  Whether or not she proves out coral, she's a gorgeous albino!

060524f11.  Female.  100% het. Albino, possible Coral (Groovy-line). This girl is completely pink everywhere - we'll try to get a better photo because this one doesn't even begin to show how pink she is.  She's also the largest of the litter.  Very likely that she will prove to be a coral.

060524f16.  Female.  100% het. Albino, possible Coral (Groovy-line).  Very light, with lots of purplish pink on the dorsal that doesn't show in this photo - you can just make out a hint of it on the dorsal just forward of where the tail saddles begin.  Could be a coral.

060524m09.  Male.  100% het. Albino, possible Coral (Groovy-line).  Good pink on the belly and lower sides, and a classic bold pattern.  Could be a coral.

An interesting side note:  he and 060524m10 are twins - non-identical, but developed and were born with their umbilicals connected to the same yolk sac.  They were noticeably smaller than their other littermates.
